I was lucky enough to be invted on january 23rd afternoon to christian lacroix's spring/summer 2007 défilé in Paris. I almost died because i got there 40mns late (merci la sncf), seeing the guys closing the doors in front of me, that they reopened after i showed them a really sad face... The défilé had started 20 seconds before. So unfortunately, i couldnt seat among the other 200 people that were there, but it was already amazing.
Those 20mns were kinda out of time... Those amazingly tall models with magazine faces, people taking notes, old ladies dressed as ancient tapestries shaking heads, dozens of photographers shooting simultaneously... And those clothes... I admit i've never been a big fan of fashion, but always liked the work of gaultier and lacroix. And seeing these for real made me realize the amount of work necessary to achieve those 20mns of pure grace. I think i'll never forget this !
Oh yeah and since i didnt wanna take my big camera with me, i took my holga and portra 800 film. And i'm really happy with the result.
